What leaps to the eye, when entering a northern European household, is the predominance of light and brightness, particularly the use of white colors, as a result not only of aesthetic reasons but mainly practical. Brightness within the four walls becomes a good solution for cost saving since the weakness of daylight and constant dartkness in certain seasons is a main feature in these places.

It's typical to find, within the Norvegan, Icelandic or Danish households, rooms that are from floor to furniture completly in white, wich gives you inevitably the impression of being monotonous but at the same time provides you with sensations of tidiness but specially with the ideas of expance and broadness. All these are distinguishing characteristics of the northern European way of living and interior design.
