The Weather Stations by Arne Jacobsen comprises a Clock, a Barometer, a Hygrometer and a Thermometer providing in a simple and beautiful way an overview of relative time, air pressure, humidity and  temperature in real Danish style. The internationally renowned Danish architect, Arne Jacobsen, made his distinctive mark on almost everything from architecture to interior design, furniture design and graphic art. Still regarded as one of the world's leading modernists, Jacobsen created the wall clock for Denmark's central bank, the Nationalbanken (1971),  which is also, at the same time, the main inspiration for the weather stations. 

 

ARNE JACOBSEN

Arne Jacobsen (1902-1971) was one of the most influential Danish architects and designers of the 20th century. He was educated at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts Schools of Architecture in Copenhagen, where he spent a long period time as an professor as well. Arne Jacobsen put his modernist stamp on architecture and design for more than 50 years - not only in Denmark, but also internationally. His production was enormous and was based on a philosophy of creating total concepts, where everything was well designed. The Royal series comprises glasses for serving red wine, white wine, dessert wine, champagne, cocktails, beer, shots and water, making it the perfect design statement for spring luncheon tables and Mad Men-style cocktail hour all year round.
