When Arne Jacobsen designed the Roman Clock for Aarhus Town Hall in 1942, he also created a design icon for the home. This wall clock is available in four sizes, and its current design is faithful to the original drawings. The clock case supporting the concave glass front gives the clock an appearance of hovering on the wall. ARNE JACOBSEN

Arne Jacobsen (1902-1971) was one of the most influential Danish architects and designers of the 20th century. He was educated at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts Schools of Architecture in Copenhagen, where he spent a long period time as an professor as well. Arne Jacobsen put his modernist stamp on architecture and design for more than 50 years - not only in Denmark, but also internationally. His production was enormous and was based on a philosophy of creating total concepts, where everything was well designed. The Royal series comprises glasses for serving red wine, white wine, dessert wine, champagne, cocktails, beer, shots and water, making it the perfect design statement for spring luncheon tables and Mad Men-style cocktail hour all year round.
