The new Urbania light house, Atelier, is inspired by the small studio buildings you find in arty districts all over the world. The light house is designed with delicate skylights and small, wonky nooks and crannies, which give it a quirky look.

The designers have played with the sizes, positions and shapes of the windows so, depending on the angle, from which you view the little studio house, the angles and light change.

BECKER & BACHE - R7B COPENHAGEN

Mette Bache and Barbara Bendix Becker studied together at the Danish Design School, and formed the design duo R7B Copenhagen after gratuation in 1996. As such they worked together for years and have developed textile designs for a large number of design companies. They also worked as consultants in areas such as identity, products selection and design strategy. Recently the two designers have realised the great potential of ceramics as material. It is in fact the perfect material for them to work with, since they both have a passion for reinterpreting old objects and revitalising them through new designs. [...]
